French Championship was definitely not a good day for me!

On Sunday I was ready to race the French champ and like everything I do, I wanted to make the best of it! I wanted to get back to the front before the two next world cup and get my ball rolling on caring on the results getting better and better as well as my confidence ! After couple corners I came into a drop in a corner and lost the grip on the front wheel but I try to gap anyway to avoid the crash, jump with one leg, land my left leg straight and I felt my knee dislocated. I try to put my foot back on the pedal and right away I felt my leg out of place when my knee starts to bang on the frame! It took me two corners to stop and wait for the medical to pic me up!

I decide with Kevin to drive all night to go to see my doctor in the morning in Perpignan to see what he says. After some exam we saw on the picture than I broke my LCA and other ligament was damage! Today I’m going back to Perpignan to prepare my surgery on Friday!

This e mail is hard for me to write, I was feeling good this season and I know it was a matter of time to get back with the fast boys!

Yesterday I took a hard push but I’m not KO yet!

I will update you guys step by step about the process!

Windham USA was a lot of fun! The weather the fans and the track was just too much fun! It was so hard as well to ride clean on this track because this track has to be ridden 150 % to be able to be on the top 20! The track was short and after a terrible qualification 39th, I decided to attack from the first corner!

I had a good run for sure even if I made a mistake at the top but this mistake was because I wanted to go faster ; ) I got the red flag in the rocks in the last wood section but I didn’t know if it was red or an American flag than the spectators had in their hand then I keep going and pedaled hard ! I got 19th, not what I was expected but ok for the points. Marcelo on his side had a good run he says and he end up 44th. I am moving to the top 15th overall and Marcelo keeps the 50th place.

Mont Sainte Anne, Canada, what to say about that beautiful place !! The week started not so good for me with fever (got the cold before I took the plane), but after some good night sleeping I get back on track for the qualification. Everything went well for the team. Marcelo and myself find some really good set up on our V10 carbon working together with the SRAM boys.

After a good qualification, 16 for Marcelo and 13 by my side we knew we could do better on the final and that’s was the plan ! For myself lately I felt really good on the bike, I felt I was increasing my speed day by day and I knew I had the best man on my side Kev to help me to save those little seconds !

For the final after a good start Marcelo get a flat and he end up 76th. On my side after 4 really good corners my race stop there due of a mechanical. Too bad I felt great this morning on the practice and like I say I am going for the podium now then I have already my mind to next races to reach my goal !
