Was the first race of the season in Pietermaritzburg and the first big test for my knee since my surgery last fall.
On a very physical track, my knee went great and i had good feelings all over the week end, from the first trainings to the qualification run where I classified 7th and for the finals where i got a 10th place. My first top 10 and my first prize money since one year ! The podium was just a second away but we were 4 riders in the same second, what shows that everyone is ready and level is really high to get to the first seats. I’m finally very satisfied with this result and i can’t wait to get to the second round of the world cup, with my new plate number 9 that i got with the points of the qualifications and of the finals.
I want to thanks everyone for the strong support , it help me to go through my hard time at the rehab for the knee and i think about that every time I am at the gate! You guys are part of my great start and I promise you I will fight even harder : )
Now I’m on a Private game reserve with True Collection (www.thetruecollection.com) and a photo shoot with C Magazine.

This weekend was the MAXIMA PROBIKESHOP race in Sainte Maxime in the south of France.
The week started early for me because I was involve with my friend Daniel the President of Sainte Maxime mountain bike club to build the track with my little touch ! (I guess jumps) : )
The track been on the series for 10 years and this year we made some changes at the top and bottom of the track but the dirt stay the same : ) I had a blast building and riding in the same time and even more watching all those peoples coming and enjoy the track in a perfect sunny day : )
I got 2nd behind Aurelien Giordanengo and just in front of Julien Camellini the other local guy.
I want to say thanks to Probikeshop to sponsor the event and Sainte Maxime mountain bike club for the hard work! Daniel and Eric to pull this off!
Thanks for the fun and the best training week I could have before my first world cup!
